Pandemic Leave

The Nurses Award 2010 and Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2010 are included in the Awards that now include a temporary entitlement to unpaid pandemic leave. This means that staff that are covered by these Awards, are entitled to take up to two weeks unpaid leave if:

• they can’t attend work because they’re required to self-isolate by government or medical authorities (or on the advice of a medical practitioner); or
• government or medical measures taken in response to the pandemic have restricted their ability to work.
