Medical Directions was founded on the vision of its Managing Director, Kathryn Davis.

Medical Directions provides expert practice management consultancy services to general practices, specialising in the accreditation process. With extensive medical experience in practice management, Medical Directions provides personalised consultancy services to private medical practices.

Our services include accreditation/re-accreditation; practice management; medical software training; practice manager training; medical reception training; and support for general practitioners and practice staff.

We are committed to general practice by keeping up to date with the RACGP Standards for general practices.


About Kathryn Davis

Kathryn has owned and operated three medical practices on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

Kath has a Diploma in Practice Management and a Diploma in Management. She is a qualified Medical Assistant and is a Member of AAPM. Kath is a regular presenter at medical conferences and workshops.

During her working career, Kathryn has been described as having an effervescent personality – always bubbly! She has been compared to a little ferret – if she doesn’t know something she will dig deeper until she finds the answer.

She has first-hand experience in the day to day operations of a medical practice and knows the importance of having systems in place. Having been in practice management for over 18 years, she knows a lot!

Kathryn is approachable and is a positive influence on the practice team. She is caring, understanding and passionate in everything she does.

Kath says, “As a past practice owner, I know how to run a medical practice efficiently. I am a go-getter. I’m passionate about what I do, and I love helping practices reach their best potential.”

Kathryn created the KnowNOW! medical practice intranet tool to make the process of accreditation easier for Australian medical practices.
