CPR Training Suspended

As per Criterion C8.1 and Criterion GP3.1 in the 5th Standards, all members of your practice team must complete CPR training every three years.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face to face CPR training has been suspended. Online CPR courses are still available, however practices should be aware that staff will still be required to complete the practical component of the course once CPR classes re-commence. Surveyors will ask to see evidence of practical training for accreditation.

CPR training for administration staff can be conducted by a member of the practice’s clinical team if they hold a current CPR instructor’s certificate that complies with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines on instructor competencies.
