Are you prepared for a data breach?

Data breaches can be deliberate or accidental and can happen at any time. It is important to act quickly in responding to a breach so you can limit any negative consequences. Practices can contact Services Australia if they experience a data breach and they can:
  • provide advice about your obligations for a data breach
  • work with your organisation, nominated agents and legal representatives
  • contribute to your communications with affected individuals
  • add identity security measures to customer Medicare records
  • reissue log in credentials for PRODA or linked services such as HPOS or NDIS
